You guessed it folks, these girls belong in a modern era. A time of cell phones, smart cars and Ipods. Call it 'realistic', call it anything you wish but don't call it dull. From troublesome employee's and customers a like at Virginia's shop to the 'Business' that Randi has to attend to when her father is away there is room for all sorts of fun. That's not to say they can't be put in a fantasy world or have a dash of supernatural added to their modernity.

Ginny had it rough from day one. Her first few years were okay but at the ripe old age of seven she began hitting foster homes. She never really got the story on why her parents gave her up, she just assumed she was a bitchy, bratty little kid and they couldn't cope. Home number six became the magic number but even that wasn't filled with butterflies and rainbows. “Daddy” was an alcoholic, “Mommy” a whore with a new man visiting for lunch every day. It sucked, royally, to be stuck in the middle of all that hell. At fourteen, while wandering the streets of Boston, she found a huge bay door open, the large man inside singing along in the worst singing voice ever to some music on the radio, his own vocals heavy with a British accent. It was amazing! She likely stood there in that doorway for a good twenty minutes watching him work on this old blue car. To hear that sucker fire up started a spark inside her that never quit.
((Gin's fairly easy to meet, fun to play and usually in a pretty good mood. She fits into tons of spaces story line wise. Old habits die hard, unless it's requested otherwise she's usually fairly heavy in to recreational drugs.))

The glimmer and glam of the buckle bunnies and the spotlights weren't all it was made to seem. The life of a cowboy or cowgirl worked hard on your bones and you spent many a night in among the feelings of depression and anger both from losers of their round, and the animals who didn't take to kindly to their riders. She'd lived this life growing up, on the road with her father as he chased the tail of his dream so it was only natural when she followed in his footsteps. Most guys wouldn't look at Randi on the street, never mind actually take the time to get to know her. It wasn't she wasn't pretty, actually her work and play kept her in tip top condition, it was the fact that she didn't wear a mini skirt to show higher then sin, and a tank top that made her chest look like the grand canyon. Boys didn't like that. They all wanted buckle bunnies that would show off every single inch of available space. She did on occasion, when she got to get out, but that wasn't often.

Janie may have a gun, but Sarafina has the whole city at her fingertips. With a father like Gino Marcelli, being born into a crime family was easier then one would have thought. She never had to worry about where her next meal came from, or worry about boys breaking her heart. The only boy who broke her heart ended up with a broken jaw, thanks to her brother Anthony. Yes, there were many crime family's in the city, and all had a hand at keeping the peace that was, but the Marcelli's.. They ran the majority. The Baroni, Russo, De Lucas, and Ricci all held claim in the area, and for the most part were very good at keeping peace with each other. Occasionally however, there was a tizzy fit over the small things.
Her father Gino ran a rather lavish 10 story Hotel and Casino, Mi Casa. Between the hotel and full floor casino, restaurant and shop it was good income. Her brother Anthony took little Fina under his wing, bringing her into his own little business running a nightclub. Italiano Roots was surely an amazing place and was never left without a block long line of people outside the door waiting and praying to get in. Not only a place to relax and enjoy but a place of business. It was rare to come in on a night where Sarafina was not attending.

Blonde hair, green eyes and a killer smile seemed to be what most guys drooled over these days and it was just those traits that kept Alyssa's tip jar full every night. From hole in the wall dive bars to fancy five stars with uniforms Alyssa had been a bartender as long as she could remember. Her father had hated it, her mother bailed when she was just a baby. Home was a little hole in the wall apartment and her routine was the same every single day. A jog in the park at noon, a quick lunch and then the same route to the bar where she worked. A night at work and then a small container of Chinese hanging from her hand as she walked home around 2:30am. At work she was playful, sassy and seemed on top of the world but who was the woman behind that mask?

Chevy was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and a secondary spoon as a backup in case that one ever got too tarnished. Both of her parents had a very successful career but that left their little red headed girl to her own devices with nanny after nanny to look after her.
